Nyhavn waterfront in Copenhagen, host city of the World Maritime Forum
Copenhagen, a major Northern European maritime hub, will host the World Maritime Forum 2026.

The World Maritime Forum will take place in Copenhagen on February 17–18, bringing together global maritime leaders for two days of dialogue at a pivotal moment for the shipping industry. Held under the slogan “One Event – World of Maritime,” the forum aims to reflect the diversity, scale, and interconnected nature of today’s maritime sector.

The event will be hosted at the Bella Sky Convention Center, widely recognised as the largest convention centre of its kind in Northern Europe. Its size and facilities make it an ideal venue for an international gathering that brings together stakeholders from across the maritime value chain.

This year’s forum will feature around 70 speakers, representing shipowners, operators, regulators, technology providers, and industry organisations. Over the course of two days, participants will engage in discussions on the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing the industry as it navigates regulatory pressure, technological disruption, and the global energy transition.

Key topics on the agenda include decarbonisation, sustainability, future fuels, and ESG, highlighting the industry’s efforts to reduce emissions while maintaining competitiveness. The programme will also address crew welfare, recognising the importance of people and skills as maritime operations continue to evolve.

Technology and innovation will be central themes throughout the forum. Sessions will explore digitalisation, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, reflecting the growing role of data-driven systems and connected infrastructure in modern shipping. As digital solutions become more embedded in daily operations, resilience and security remain top priorities for maritime companies worldwide.

The speaker lineup includes senior representatives from leading organisations, including Sevtap Ozdogan of the International Maritime Organization, Thomas Lindegaard Madsen from A.P. Moller – Maersk, Lise Horup of DFDS, Gerry Larsson-Fedde from Hurtigruten, Peder Gellert Pedersen of P&O Ferries Holding, and Uriel Chareca from Torm, alongside many other industry figures contributing to panels and discussions.

In addition to the conference programme, the World Maritime Forum will feature a dedicated exhibition area, where companies will showcase cutting-edge technologies, solutions, and services shaping the future of maritime operations. Designed to encourage interaction and networking, the exhibition will complement the conference by connecting ideas with practical innovation.

By combining high-level discussion, a broad speaker programme, and an extensive exhibition floor, the World Maritime Forum in Copenhagen aims to live up to its slogan and offer a truly global perspective on the future of maritime.
